According to the American entertainment media outlet People, which cited a recent source, "Jolie's LA home is currently being shown to pre-screened buyers," reporting that Jolie is organizing her residence with plans to move abroad in mind.

The source stated, "Jolie is ready to start a new life in a new country," adding, "She is prepared to leave behind her life centered around LA." The source continued, "Jolie is passionate about many projects and is in good health," and added, "She is looking forward to 2026 and is excited about the freedom she will enjoy then."

Jolie is known to have stayed in LA due to custody issues with her ex-husband Brad Pitt. In August of last year, a source told People, "Jolie never wanted to live only in LA," and explained, "She had no other choice because of the custody issues with her ex-husband." The source also mentioned, "She plans to move as soon as her youngest children, the twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year," and added, "She is considering several overseas locations."

The mansion Jolie has put up for sale was purchased in 2017 for 24.5 million USD (about 35.5 billion KRW). Located in Los Feliz, LA, this property spans 1,022 square meters (about 310 pyeong), featuring six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and four fireplaces. Built in 1913, it is famous for having been the residence of Hollywood legend Cecil B. DeMille for 40 years until his death in 1959.

If her move abroad becomes a reality, Cambodia and Europe are considered the most likely destinations. The American entertainment outlet Page Six reported, "This year, Jolie will operate her fashion collection and boutique, Atelier Jolie, in New York, while also dividing her time between Europe and Cambodia, which she has long considered her second home, to protect her privacy."

Cambodia is known to be a special place for Jolie, who has described it as "the home in my heart." Jolie first visited Cambodia in 2000 to film the movie "Tomb Raider," where she witnessed the harsh realities faced by refugees and began her humanitarian work. In 2022, she adopted her eldest son Maddox from Cambodia. She has also been involved in various activities, including environmental and wildlife protection and community development in Cambodia. In recognition of these contributions, she was granted honorary citizenship by the King of Cambodia in 2005.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie met Brad Pitt while filming "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" (2004), and after living together in a common-law relationship, they married in 2014. However, following divorce proceedings that began in 2016, they officially separated in December 2024. The couple has six children, all of whom are reportedly living with Jolie after the divorce.
