Join the Hope 2026 Campaign
The quiet acts of sharing by local businesses are warmly lighting up Yecheon’s winter.
Amid the ongoing “Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign,” the donation activities of one company, which have continued for over 14 years, are drawing attention as a symbol of trust and solidarity within the local community.
On the 7th, in the Yecheon County Office, Kim Hakdong, Yecheon County Governor (left), and Jo Gwansub of Shin Young Remicon Woosung Industrial Development are taking a commemorative photo after donating funds to help neighbors.
On January 7, Yecheon County announced that Shinyoung Remicon and Woosung Industrial Development (represented by Jo Gwansub) visited the county office and donated 10 million won.
The funds delivered this time will be used to support vulnerable groups and neighbors in welfare blind spots within the county.
Since 2004, Shinyoung Remicon and Woosung Industrial Development have donated funds to support the local community every year, with the cumulative amount reaching 140 million won.
The significance felt by the community is particularly special, as this is not a one-time sponsorship but a long-term commitment to social contribution.
Jo Gwansub, the company’s CEO, has also regularly participated in volunteer work and various social contribution activities, putting corporate social responsibility into practice in the field.
Jo Gwansub stated, “I decided to make this donation again this year in hopes of providing some support to neighbors enduring the cold winter,” adding, “We will continue to share as a company that breathes together with the local community.”
In response, Kim Hakdong, the county governor, said, “I deeply appreciate your unwavering commitment to loving your neighbors even in difficult times,” and added, “The donated funds will be delivered with care to those who are most in need.”
Meanwhile, through the “Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign,” Yecheon County is spreading a culture of sharing involving both the public and private sectors, and the voluntary participation of local businesses and residents is being recognized as a model case of community solidarity during the year-end and New Year season.
