A Variety of Learning Spaces Designed for Children and Parents
Illoom, the lifestyle furniture brand under Fursys Group, announced on January 7 that it will hold an experiential popup event titled "Illoom Study House: The Rhythm of Little Workers."
Taking place from January 16 to February 14 in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, this popup is designed as a learning space where children and parents engage as "little workers" and "caring observers," respectively, to understand each other and grow together. The purpose is to reinterpret children's study habits not in terms of results or achievements, but from the new perspective of each child's unique "rhythm," thereby encouraging a broader and deeper understanding of learning methods.

The popup classifies children's study tendencies into four types: creative-exploratory, challenger-autonomous, focused-immersive, and emotional-empathetic. A variety of themed programs are offered to suit each temperament type.
Specifically, the offerings include: ▲ a creative-exploratory upcycling class in collaboration with the Seoul Inventors Club, "Making Your Own Monster Come Alive with a Magic Wand," using Illoom materials; ▲ a challenger-autonomous class, "Surprise Chair Making Starting with Caring Observation," where children invent their own chairs; ▲ a focused-immersive lecture, "The Power of Digging Deep," by Kwak Minsu, Director of the Korean Institute of Egyptology, who has devoted over 20 years to Egyptian archaeology; and ▲ an emotional-empathetic class, "My Inside Out Storage Landscape," where children create personalized drawers filled with emotions and memories, in partnership with the children's visual art studio Papa Workroom.
Additionally, from January 19 to February 5, a smaller popup with the same theme will be held at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido. During this period, visitors can experience an exhibition of the four study rhythms proposed by Illoom.
An Illoom representative commented, "We hope this event will provide an opportunity for children to expand their world of learning at their own rhythm, and for parents, as 'caring observers,' to witness their children's moments of immersion and exploration, ultimately fostering mutual understanding and respect for each other's learning."
