Explaining Investment Environment and Incentives to Promising Investors
Jeonnam Province announced that, in conjunction with President Lee Jaemyung's state visit to China, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held a local government investment attraction briefing session in Beijing on January 6. At the event, the province introduced its regional strategic industries, such as offshore wind power and data centers, and held individual meetings with interested companies.
Six organizations, including Jeonnam Province, participated in the briefing session, representing local governments from across the country. They introduced the investment environment and strategic industries of their respective regions to promising Chinese investment companies.
Jeonnam Province focused on explaining its major industrial complexes and key areas for foreign investment, priority sectors for investment attraction, investment incentives, and administrative support systems.
In particular, Jeonnam Province highlighted its strategic industries, including offshore wind power, new energy, data centers, and secondary batteries, which drew significant interest from Chinese companies. The province also conducted individual meetings with some companies to discuss specific investment details.
Through this investment attraction briefing session in China, Jeonnam Province was able to directly assess Chinese companies' investment demand and explore concrete possibilities for cooperation with related firms. The province plans to continue expanding customized investment attraction activities focused on regional strategic industries, targeting major countries including China.
