Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jinseon) announced on January 6 that singer Lee Donghae, known for his charitable contributions, donated 8 million KRW to the "Love Briquette Collection Campaign" to support a warm winter for vulnerable groups in the region, as well as 2 million KRW to the Education Development Fund to foster local talent, on January 5.

Lee Donghae stated, "For over 20 years, I have lived with the mindset that every moment could be my last, and as I have practiced sharing, my own life has become more fulfilling. I hope the warmth of a single briquette and the hope provided by educational opportunities will brighten both the present and future of Yangpyeong County."
Chairman Han Myunghyun expressed gratitude, saying, "I would like to thank Mr. Lee Donghae for demonstrating his affection and sense of responsibility for local education through his actions. This donation will greatly strengthen the foundation of education in Yangpyeong, and the Education Development Committee will operate carefully to ensure his intentions are fully reflected."
Governor Jeon Jinseon stated, "I extend my deep respect and gratitude to Mr. Lee Donghae, who has practiced sharing with Yangpyeong County for a long time. The county will also consider how we can further promote such warm practices that care for both our neighbors in need and future generations."
Meanwhile, Lee Donghae, as the regional representative of the Honor Society in Yangpyeong County, has continued to donate funds and educational development contributions to support vulnerable groups and foster local talent.
