Koo Hyukseo, CEO of LX International, expressed his ambition on January 5, stating, "We will establish a foundation for future growth by securing new sources of revenue and make this year a turning point for tangible results."

In his New Year's address, CEO Koo acknowledged, "Last year, our performance did not meet expectations due to the global economic slowdown and the weakening of resource prices." He also encouraged employees by saying, "I am grateful to all executives and staff who did their best despite these challenging circumstances."

He continued, "The business environment this year will be even more difficult than last year. However, it is not the management environment that determines results. Outcomes can change depending on the direction of our strategy, the speed of execution, and the completeness of implementation. Therefore, we must move away from existing practices and familiar methods, and respond more proactively and preemptively."

CEO Koo highlighted key priorities: ▲ establishing a foundation for future growth by securing new sources of revenue ▲ enhancing cost competitiveness and redesigning the cost structure ▲ fostering an organizational culture of communication that drives responsible execution ▲ and practicing ethical management by all members.

He especially emphasized the need to accelerate and achieve visible results in securing future growth drivers, such as acquiring new nickel and bauxite assets in the resources business, exploring new markets and business opportunities in trading, and building a profit portfolio for new growth businesses with a five- to ten-year perspective.
