[Photo] Superintendent Chung Geunsik Greets Students

On January 5, Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Superintendent Chung Geunsik attended a press conference in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Council in Jung-gu, Seoul, calling for a reconsideration of the proposal to abolish the Student Human Rights Ordinance. Superintendent Chung greeted the students who attended the press conference and argued that abolishing the Student Human Rights Ordinance would constitute a serious unconstitutional and illegal act, as it would completely dismantle the system for protecting students' fundamental rights. He called on the Seoul Metropolitan Council to reconsider its decision to pass the abolition proposal.
