This event was organized to commemorate the completion of renovation work on the aging Tennis Court No. 2 and futsal field at Dasan Sports Park, and to introduce the newly refurbished sports facilities to the public.

From September to December 2025, a total project budget of 200 million won was invested to complete facility improvements at Dasan Sports Park No. 2, including replacing artificial turf on three tennis courts and one futsal field, as well as upgrading the night lighting system. Through this renovation, both safety and user convenience have been greatly enhanced, allowing citizens to enjoy a wider range of recreational sports activities in a more comfortable environment.

The ceremony began with a progress report on the facility improvements, followed by a welcoming address, congratulatory remarks, a commemorative rice cake cutting, and a group photo session. The event was attended by Joo Gwangdeok, Mayor of Namyangju City, along with about 50 local residents and sports club members, who gathered to celebrate the new beginning of Dasan Sports Park No. 2.

In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Joo stated, "These facility improvements were made so that citizens can enjoy recreational sports in a safer and more pleasant environment," adding, "We will continue to do our best to expand recreational sports infrastructure and manage sports facilities in the future."

Kim Seungbeom, President of the Dasan Tennis Club, said, "I am very pleased that we can now enjoy not only tennis, but also futsal, basketball, and other recreational sports in a safe and comfortable environment," expressing his deep gratitude to Namyangju City for its efforts to promote public health and leisure activities.
