IBK Industrial Bank Launches Third-Phase IBK Nara Sarang Card

Up to 50% PX Discount and More

IBK Industrial Bank announced on January 5 that it will officially launch the 'New IBK Nara Sarang Card' to coincide with the start of the third phase of the Nara Sarang Card project.

This third-phase card is characterized by significantly enhanced benefits and digital convenience, reflecting the actual lifestyle patterns of those fulfilling their mandatory military service. Notably, a special PX discount has been introduced, offering up to 50% off, and the card broadly supports not only everyday spending but also large payments such as unit gatherings or gift purchases. A 'Active Duty Soldier Package' has been created, which provides discounts on Naver Plus Membership, mobile phone bills, convenience stores, transportation, shopping, and dining without any card usage conditions, as long as the cardholder receives military pay.

The free accident insurance coverage limit has been increased to 530 million won, and the safety net has been strengthened by including compensation for voice phishing damages and coverage for various accidents and PTSD diagnoses that may occur during military service. The maximum interest rate for the Soldiers' Tomorrow Savings Deposit has also been raised to 10.2%, supporting asset building.

Various partnership services have also been developed with a range of brands. Benefits have been prepared in cooperation with GS25, Emart24, Mega MGC Coffee, Yanolja, Socar, Hackers, BC Card, and Mastercard, supporting the daily lives of those in their twenties both during and before/after enlistment without interruption.

IBK Industrial Bank has also enhanced digital financial convenience through a strategic collaboration with Naver Pay. By registering the 'IBK Nara Sarang Card' on Npay and making payments, users can receive 10% Npay point rewards, and at certain merchants, card discounts can be applied simultaneously. Going forward, the two companies plan to upgrade payment infrastructure through 'Npay Connect' and actively support the digital transformation of national defense and military administration using Web3 technology.

An official from IBK Industrial Bank stated, "This third-phase product focuses on providing practical benefits and convenience to those fulfilling their mandatory military service through the integration of finance and IT," and added, "We will continue to expand innovative financial services to support asset building and welfare improvement for military personnel."
