From January 6 to 9, Gyeongbuk Province will operate the "CES 2026 Gyeongbuk Joint Pavilion" at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and other venues in the United States.
CES, the world's largest IT and consumer electronics exhibition, will be held for four days starting January 6. The event will showcase advanced technologies and innovation trends spanning the entire industry, including artificial intelligence (AI), future mobility, robotics, healthcare, and energy transition technologies.
Gumhee Yang, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongbuk Province (second from right), is touring the booths of participating companies from the Gyeongbuk region at CES held last year.
At this year’s CES, a total of 29 promising companies from Gyeongbuk Province will participate (14 at the Gyeongbuk Pavilion, 8 at the Pohang Pavilion, and 7 from POSTECH), presenting their outstanding technologies and products to buyers and investors from around the world.
The participating companies will explore opportunities to enter the global market and actively seek collaboration with overseas companies and institutions. Gyeongbuk Province has continuously achieved meaningful results by promoting the technological capabilities and innovation of local companies on the global stage through its participation in CES.
This year, Gyeongbuk companies won a total of five Innovation Awards, including two Best Innovation Awards. This achievement is recognized as a prime example demonstrating that the technological competitiveness of Gyeongbuk companies is sufficient to succeed in the global market. The companies that received the Best Innovation Award are Deep Fusion AI Co., Ltd. and City Five Co., Ltd., while the Innovation Award was given to Humonics Co., Ltd., HiBO Co., Ltd., and The Keeper.
Geumhee Yang, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongbuk Province, along with the provincial delegation, will visit participating local companies to encourage their representatives and tour major domestic and international company booths, keeping abreast of technological trends across future industries such as AI, mobility, and robotics.
Additionally, Gyeongbuk Province plans to further strengthen international competitiveness of local companies by securing additional funding to support CES participants and expanding practical support beyond simple exhibition participation.
The province is currently developing a full-cycle support system roadmap that covers all stages from technology development to global market entry, including connecting with overseas buyers and investors, technology commercialization, and follow-up marketing. Through this, Gyeongbuk aims to focus on nurturing promising companies and to implement more aggressive and strategic corporate support policies.
Geumhee Yang, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongbuk Province, stated, "I am proud that our local companies have received consecutive Innovation Awards at CES, drawing significant global attention for their outstanding and innovative technologies every year. Gyeongbuk Province will continue to actively support the international competitiveness of local companies through global exhibition participation support and the fostering of new industries based on AI and digital technologies."
