Six Companies Surpass 1 Trillion Won in Market Cap
Market Capitalization Up 62% Year-on-Year

The Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairperson Park Yunkyung) announced on January 4 that, based on an analysis of the market capitalization status of 57 listed companies in the Daegu region (22 KOSPI-listed companies and 35 KOSDAQ-listed companies) as of the closing price on December 30, the total market capitalization of local listed companies at the end of 2025 reached 28.2384 trillion won. This represents an increase of 62.7%, or 10.8784 trillion won, compared to the end of the previous year.

The market capitalization of the 22 KOSPI-listed companies stood at 23.1427 trillion won, up 77.9%, or 10.134 trillion won, from the end of the previous year. The market capitalization of the 35 KOSDAQ-listed companies was 5.0957 trillion won, an increase of 17.1%, or 744.4 billion won, year-on-year.

The market capitalization of listed companies in the Daegu region has continued to grow for four consecutive quarters since the fourth quarter of 2024. The KOSPI has been on the rise since the fourth quarter of 2024, while the KOSDAQ has continued its upward trend since the first quarter of 2025.

The company with the highest market capitalization in the Daegu region was ISU Petasys Co., Ltd., which saw a 405.9% increase compared to the end of the previous year. L&F Co., Ltd. ranked second, followed by Korea Gas Corporation, iM Financial Holdings Co., Ltd., and SL Corporation. Notably, JVM Co., Ltd., which was ranked 12th in market capitalization last year, entered the TOP 10 by rising to 9th place.

Meanwhile, the number of companies in the Daegu region with a market capitalization of over 1 trillion won increased by one from the previous year to a total of six. There were 24 companies with a market capitalization between 100 billion and 1 trillion won, and 27 companies with less than 100 billion won.

Lee Sanggil, Executive Vice Chairman of the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated, "The increase in market capitalization of listed companies in the Daegu region is the result of the simultaneous growth of high-tech industries such as AI and semiconductors, as well as improvements in corporate structure. In order to sustain this trend, it is essential to strengthen companies' technological competitiveness and to have systematic growth support from both the government and Daegu City."
