On January 2, Eunkyung Kim, the newly appointed Director of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency and Chairperson of the Credit Recovery Committee, stated, "I will establish inclusive finance as the central pillar that completes financial policies for low-income individuals on the ground."

Prior to her inauguration ceremony that day, Director Kim visited the Gwanak Inclusive Finance Support Center. There, she met directly with vulnerable groups facing financial difficulties, listened to their concerns, and encouraged the counseling staff.

Director Kim said, "Going forward, I will humbly listen to voices from the field in order to create institutional conditions and a financial ecosystem that enable low-income and vulnerable groups to achieve economic independence and self-sufficiency."

She continued, "Even low-income and vulnerable groups with low credit and income have the right to access the financial services they need for economic activity without discrimination, and they have the right not to be excluded from life due to a single failure. I will strengthen policy-based inclusive finance and debt adjustment support systems to protect these financial rights, increase the effectiveness of our policies, and do my utmost to realize a basic social safety net."

Additionally, Director Kim added, "I will ensure that low-income individuals, who may currently be going through dark and challenging times, can regain hope and get back on their feet through inclusive finance."
