On January 2, at the New Year's greeting event held at Anyang LS Tower, Koo Ja-eun, Chairman of LS Group, delivered the New Year's address and encouraged employees to "make this year one that advances the company's future."

Notably, this year's New Year's address by Chairman Koo attracted attention as it was written by artificial intelligence (AI). According to LS Group, Chairman Koo shared the process of AI drafting the address with employees at the event. The process involved inputting key management keywords that Chairman Koo had considered in advance into the AI, which then generated the speech based on those inputs. This was an idea conceived by Chairman Koo himself. While delivering the AI-generated address, he emphasized, "Let's use AI to quickly handle low value-added work and focus our capabilities on core work that creates high added value."

In his address, Chairman Koo presented the main policies for this year as securing financial resilience, stabilizing new businesses and diversifying markets, and establishing an innovation foundation through AI. He particularly stated, "Over the next five years, we plan to invest 7 trillion won domestically and 5 trillion won overseas in subsea cables, power equipment, and materials. To seize new opportunities during the economic upturn, it is essential to secure financial resilience." He also urged, "Leaders should take the initiative in quickly stabilizing new businesses such as battery materials and electric vehicle components, and lead AI-based work innovation."

At the event, in addition to Chairman Koo's New Year's address, LS Group introduced newly promoted executives and held the 'LS Futurist Awards.' The LS Futurist Awards is a system that recognizes individuals or organizations who have contributed to the company's growth through outstanding achievements over the past year at the group level. It was established to enhance the pride of LS members by discovering and rewarding star players (outstanding talents) among employees. Awardees receive a total of 1 billion won in prize money and special benefits such as overseas training. At the inaugural ceremony, two teams were selected for the Grand Prize, two teams for the Technology Award, and three teams for the Innovation Award. The Grand Prize was awarded to the team that led LS Cable's global subsea energy business and the team that spearheaded LS Electric's expansion in the North American power equipment market and business transformation.
