Duksung Women's University Records 6.79 to 1 Competition Rate for 2026 Regular Admissions

Continued High Enthusiasm Among Applicants

Duksung Women's University announced on January 5 that for the 2026 regular admissions, 3,435 applicants competed for 506 spots, resulting in an average competition rate of 6.79 to 1.

By admissions type, the competition rate for the Type A College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) 100% track was 5.57 to 1, and for the Type B CSAT 100% track, it was 4.85 to 1. For practical skills tracks, the Type B Art Practical Skills track recorded a high competition rate of 19.58 to 1, while the Type B Physical Education Practical Skills track reached 14.87 to 1.


In the College of Future Talent's advanced majors, which recruited through the Type A CSAT 100% track, the Department of Virtual Reality Convergence recorded a competition rate of 4.93 to 1, the Department of Data Science 5.87 to 1, and the Department of AI Drug Discovery 4.19 to 1. The Liberal Arts Major, an integrated, non-major recruitment unit, had 733 applicants for 104 spots, resulting in a competition rate of 7.05 to 1, surpassing the average.


Within the Type A CSAT 100% track, the College of Science and Technology recorded a competition rate of 4.06 to 1, and the College of Pharmacy 5.63 to 1. In the Type B CSAT 100% track, the College of Global Convergence, Humanities and Social Sciences recorded 4.76 to 1, and the Department of Early Childhood Education 5.80 to 1.


This regular admissions cycle was particularly notable for the high competition in the Type B Art Practical Skills track. Among the Art & Design College’s practical skills tracks, the Basic Aptitude track had the highest competition rate at 33.20 to 1, followed by Basic Design at 24.44 to 1, Human Figure Watercolor at 12.13 to 1, and Ink-and-Wash Painting at 5.86 to 1.


The Physical Education Practical Skills track, which shifted from Type A to Type B this year, saw 342 applicants for 23 spots, resulting in a competition rate of 14.87 to 1, an increase of 5.1 percentage points compared to last year.


Duksung Women's University will conduct the Physical Education Practical Skills exam on January 13 and the Art Practical Skills exam on January 17. The initial list of successful candidates will be announced on February 2, and additional successful candidates will be announced sequentially from February 5 to 12.
