Chuncheon City in Gangwon Province held a New Year's worship ceremony at Chungnyeol Tower in Udu-dong on January 2, 2026, as its first official event of the new year, praying for the peace and development of Chuncheon.

This New Year's ceremony was attended by about 300 key officials from related organizations, including Chuncheon City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, the 2nd Corps, Gangwon Western Veterans Affairs Office, and city and provincial veterans' organizations. Under the slogan "A New Gangwon, Chuncheon Rising Again," they came together as one to honor the noble spirit of the patriotic martyrs and fallen heroes who dedicated themselves to the nation and its people.

Through this New Year's ceremony, Chuncheon City pledged to mark the start of its new year administration and reaffirmed its commitment to responsible governance for the safety of citizens and the development of the region.
