Application Status Revealed as of Deadline
Kyung Hee University announced on January 5 that a total of 11,474 applicants applied for 2,431 spots in its regular admissions, resulting in a competition rate of 4.72 to 1.

The admissions process based on the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) showed consistent competition rates. For the Seoul Campus, in Group A, the CSAT-based general admissions had 770 spots and 3,260 applicants, resulting in a competition rate of 4.23 to 1. In Group B, there were 175 spots and 710 applicants, with a competition rate of 4.06 to 1. For the International Campus, in Group A, the CSAT-based general admissions had 405 spots and 1,722 applicants, resulting in a rate of 4.25 to 1, while Group B had 621 spots and 2,802 applicants, with a competition rate of 4.51 to 1.
Within the Seoul Campus Group A CSAT-based general admissions, the Global Hospitality and Tourism Studies Department recorded the highest competition rate at 9.00 to 1 (5 spots, 45 applicants). The Department of Korean Medicine also had a competition rate of 5.56 to 1 (18 spots, 100 applicants) in the same admissions group.
For the International Campus Group B CSAT-based general admissions, the Postmodern Music Department recorded the highest competition rate at 25.50 to 1 (2 spots, 51 applicants). The Ceramics Department had a rate of 11.50 to 1 (2 spots, 23 applicants), and the Visual Design Department had a rate of 10.50 to 1 (2 spots, 21 applicants), indicating generally high competition rates.
The medical and pharmaceutical fields in Group B CSAT-based general admissions also showed steady competition. By department, the competition rates were as follows: Pre-Medicine at 4.31 to 1 (55 spots, 237 applicants), Pre-Korean Medicine (Humanities) at 4.80 to 1 (15 spots, 72 applicants), Pre-Korean Medicine (Natural Sciences) at 3.30 to 1 (44 spots, 145 applicants), Pre-Dentistry at 3.35 to 1 (40 spots, 134 applicants), and Pharmacy at 5.81 to 1 (21 spots, 122 applicants).
In the International Campus Group A CSAT-based general admissions, the Department of Artificial Intelligence in Computer Engineering had 20 spots and 101 applicants, resulting in a competition rate of 5.05 to 1. The Department of Biomedical Engineering had 29 spots and 152 applicants, with a high competition rate of 5.24 to 1. In the Seoul Campus Group A CSAT-based general admissions, the Future Information Display Department had 36 spots and 145 applicants, resulting in a rate of 4.03 to 1. The Department of Korean Medicine had 18 spots and 100 applicants, with a rate of 5.56 to 1, and the Department of Pharmaceutical Science had 9 spots and 47 applicants, resulting in a competition rate of 5.22 to 1.
Choi Jinmoo, Director of Admissions at Kyung Hee University, commented, "Kyung Hee University recorded a competition rate similar to last year for regular admissions. By department, there was strong interest from applicants, with advanced departments and the medical and pharmaceutical fields standing out in particular."
For this regular admissions cycle, Kyung Hee University is recruiting a total of 2,431 students-2,233 through the CSAT-based process and 198 through the performance-based process. The announcement of successful applicants for Group A and Group B 'General Admissions (CSAT-based) - Humanities/Social Sciences/Natural Sciences,' as well as Group B 'Arts (excluding the Department of Dance)' and 'Group B Physical Education (excluding the Department of Sports Guidance and Department of Taekwondo)' will be made at 6 p.m. on January 16, while the remaining admissions results will be announced at 6 p.m. on January 23.
