Strengthening the Foundation for Regional Growth

Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province secured 76.5 billion won in national and provincial funding through the selection of public project proposals for 2025.

This amount represents an increase of 13.2 billion won compared to the previous year, and is being evaluated as a significant strengthening of the region's growth foundation.

In particular, this achievement is the result of the city government’s proactive efforts, such as visiting government agencies to discuss local issues and request financial support, in order to secure national and provincial funds.

As a result of the public project selection, major initiatives include: △Rural Agreement (total project cost of 41.8 billion won), △2026 Stormwater Runoff Reduction Facility Installation Project (Nambu Market District) (35 billion won), △2026 Stormwater Runoff Reduction Facility Installation Project (Seokgye 1 District) (8 billion won), △2025 High-Precision Electronic Map Construction Challenge Project (5 billion won), △2026 National Heritage Media Art Project (1.4 billion won), and △2026 Sports Facility Support Project (Renovation support for Woongsang Cultural Sports Center and Bandabi Sports Center) (600 million won).
