Jinan County in North Jeolla Province is recruiting 68 residents (32 male, 36 female) for the Jinan Scholarship Dormitory for the 2026 academic year until January 27, 2025.
According to the county on December 31, this recruitment aims to support local students by providing stable housing and enabling them to focus on their studies, as well as to foster talented individuals who will contribute to regional and societal development.
Eligibility is open to new and current students of high schools and universities (including junior colleges) located in North Jeolla Province, with either the student or their guardian required to have resident registration in Jinan County.
Applications can be submitted in person at the administrative welfare center of the applicant's town or township of residence by January 27, 2025. Selection will be based on a composite score calculated from academic performance, living conditions, and additional points, with those achieving the highest scores being chosen. Selected residents will be required to pay a one-time admission fee of 50,000 won and a monthly usage fee of 150,000 won.
The Jinan Scholarship Dormitory operates 34 rooms, each shared by two students, for their convenience. It is also equipped with a study room, fitness room, and media room, providing an optimal environment for studying and promoting health.
