"Gratitude for Learning, Passed On Through Support for Juniors"
The Department of Korean Medicine Herbal Materials at Dong-Eui Science University (President Kim Youngdo) recently received a donation of 8.9 million won in scholarships from students in the Class of 2024 who are about to graduate, in celebration of their upcoming graduation.

All graduating students in the Class of 2024 from the Department of Korean Medicine Herbal Materials participated in this scholarship donation. All of them are adult learners who have successfully balanced their studies, work, and family life while completing their university education. Out of gratitude for the education and support they received from the school, they have come together to give back in a meaningful way.
Since 2020, the Department of Korean Medicine Herbal Materials at Dong-Eui Science University has continued the tradition of voluntary donations by graduates, demonstrating their affection for their alma mater and juniors. The total amount of scholarship donations accumulated so far has reached 29.35 million won. The newly donated scholarship funds will also be added to the scholarship endowment, to be used not only to support the studies of future students but also for various initiatives to advance the department, such as the development of herbal medicine products.
The graduating students in the Class of 2024 stated, "It was not an easy journey to balance studies, work, and family, but our passion for herbal medicine and learning allowed us to reach this point," and added, "Since learning has no end, we want to share the valuable experiences and knowledge we gained at university with our juniors."
The Department of Korean Medicine Herbal Materials at Dong-Eui Science University is the nation’s only two-year program specializing in herbal medicine materials. Based on traditional Korean medicine, the department continues to strengthen the expertise and practical skills of adult learners through education in health management and the development of practical herbal medicine products.
