Yeongdeok County Administration Gets a New Engine... Deputy Governor Insoo Hwang Begins His Term

Actions come before paperwork. Deputy Governor Insoo Hwang set public welfare and safety as his top priorities immediately upon taking office.


Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province announced that Insoo Hwang officially assumed the position of Deputy Governor as of January 1, 2026.

The newly appointed Deputy Governor Insoo Hwang is a native of Byeonggok, Yeongdeok. Since beginning his public service career at Yeongdeok County in 1989, he has served in various roles, including at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Audit Office, Saemaul Volunteer Division, Investment Promotion Office, Social Economy Director, Economic Policy and Labor Director, and Foreign Community Director. He is recognized for his extensive administrative experience and strong field-oriented work capabilities.


In particular, he has demonstrated outstanding abilities in the fields of administration and economy, and his excellent organizational management and communication skills are expected to play a significant role in the stable operation of county affairs and the resolution of key issues.


Deputy Governor Insoo Hwang stated, "I will communicate with county residents and implement effective administration focused on the field. I will do my utmost to assist the Governor and ensure that the county's key tasks are carried out without any setbacks."


The current Deputy Governor, Moon Seongjun, has completed his 18-month tenure as Deputy Governor of Yeongdeok and has moved to the position of Director of the Department of Oceans and Fisheries at Gyeongbuk Provincial Government.
