People Power Party's Lee Dalhee Receives Gukliminbok Award Selected by National Assembly Audit NGO Monitoring Group

Lee Dalhee, a proportional representative and member of the National Assembly's Gender Equality and Family Committee from the People Power Party, announced on the 31st that she has been awarded the "2025 National Assembly Audit Outstanding Member Award (Gukliminbok Award)" by the Law Consumers' Federation National Assembly Audit NGO Monitoring Group.

The National Assembly Audit NGO Monitoring Group, which was established in 1999 and has a 27-year history, selects recipients of the "Gukliminbok Award" each year through a comprehensive and rigorous evaluation process. This process involves expert evaluators from various fields, civic organizations, and nationwide youth and university student monitoring members, who monitor the entire National Assembly audit.

During the 2025 National Assembly audit by the Gender Equality and Family Committee, Lee Dalhee was recognized for her efforts in reviewing overall policies for children and youth and for contributing to improving policy efficiency from the public’s perspective.

In particular, during the audit of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, she pointed out that even though free health checkups are provided for out-of-school youth, the participation rate remains at only about 10 percent. She emphasized the need to establish a sustainable protection system so that out-of-school youth are not left in blind spots, suggesting institutional improvements such as simplifying the application process.

Following the audit, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced plans to enhance service convenience by introducing a one-stop application system and unifying and simplifying the application channels and procedures to increase the health checkup participation rate among out-of-school youth.

Additionally, she highlighted the ongoing issue of deepfake sexual exploitation materials still being distributed via social media, and conducted a review of whether the Digital Sexual Crime Victim Support Center's monitoring and illegal video deletion systems are functioning effectively. Lee Dalhee also pointed out that the expanded and reorganized Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, which now focuses on women, families, children, and youth, has its functions fragmented by "target groups," limiting its policy capacity as a specialized ministry. She urged the establishment of a responsible administrative system based on selection and concentration to enhance public perception of policies.

Based on these achievements, Lee Dalhee was also selected as the outstanding member of the People Power Party’s Gender Equality and Family Committee for a day during the National Assembly audit period.

Lee Dalhee expressed her gratitude, saying, "I am deeply thankful to the members of the National Assembly Audit NGO Monitoring Group for evaluating the 2025 Gender Equality and Family Committee audit activities from the public’s perspective and presenting me with this meaningful award." She added, "I believe the honor of receiving the 'Gukliminbok Award' carries the message to listen more closely to the voices of the people and to bring about real change in their lives."

She continued, "I will continue to remain true to my original intentions, always working alongside the public with humility and responsibility. I will do my utmost to create a country where families are happy, a society with gender equality, and to elevate the status of women in Korea."
