"Spreading Sharing Practices for the Underprivileged
and Expanding Citizen Participation Expected"
Jinju City Council in South Gyeongsang Province held the 2026 Red Cross Special Membership Fee Presentation Ceremony, attended by officials from the South Gyeongsang Red Cross and the Jinju City Red Cross Volunteer Association.

The ceremony, held on the 30th, was organized to highlight the importance of raising Red Cross membership fees and to encourage greater interest and participation from citizens.
The fundraising goal for the South Gyeongsang Red Cross Volunteer Association for 2026 is 188.7 million won, and the campaign to collect Red Cross membership fees will continue throughout next year. The funds raised will be used for various humanitarian projects, including free meal services, lunchbox delivery volunteering, and beauty services for the elderly living alone and other vulnerable groups.
Baek Seunghong, Chairperson of Jinju City Council, said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the South Gyeongsang Red Cross and all the volunteers for delivering love to the underprivileged," and added, "I ask for the active interest and participation of citizens in raising membership fees, which serve as a vital resource for Red Cross humanitarian activities."
