The city is operating its Livestock Comprehensive Quarantine Center around the clock and is deploying disinfection vehicles and livestock cooperative joint control vehicles to conduct intensive disinfection in vulnerable areas, such as poultry farms, migratory bird habitats, and major reservoirs. In addition, disinfectants and quarantine supplies are being distributed as needed to support voluntary biosecurity efforts by full-time farmers.

In particular, daily disinfection has been strengthened at major migratory bird habitats within the city, such as Sacheon Bay and Gwangpo Bay, as well as nearby streams and reservoirs. The city has also designated restricted access zones in areas located along migratory bird routes to limit entry by livestock industry personnel and citizens, while actively promoting related information.

Kim Seongil, Director of the Sacheon Agricultural Technology Center, emphasized the importance of strictly adhering to farm biosecurity guidelines and promptly reporting any suspected AI symptoms, calling for cooperation. A city official also requested, "We ask all citizens to refrain from visiting migratory bird habitats and to participate in our containment efforts."

Sacheon City plans to continue doing its utmost to maintain containment measures and ensure a swift response going forward.
