According to the foundation, a total of 249 scholarship recipients were selected in the second half of this year. Middle and high school students received up to 500,000 won each, while university students were awarded up to 1 million won each. The scholarships were granted based on a variety of criteria, including local pride, academic excellence, special talents, change of residence, remote university attendance, and academic improvement. The selection process took into account not only academic achievement but also contributions to the community and living conditions.
On December 30, the Chuncheon Talent Development Scholarship Foundation held a scholarship certificate award ceremony for the second half of 2025 in the reception room at City Hall, presenting certificates to the scholarship recipients.
This ceremony was particularly meaningful as it marked the first scholarship program conducted under the name 'Chuncheon Talent Development Scholarship Foundation.'
The foundation announced plans to expand its role as a systematic talent development platform, going beyond simple scholarship provision to include career guidance and growth support, following its reestablishment as the Chuncheon Talent Development Scholarship Foundation.
Chairman Yuk Donghan stated, "I hope these scholarships serve as a stepping stone for students to pursue their dreams," adding, "Going forward, we will create a structure where the entire community works together to nurture talent, moving beyond traditional scholarship programs."
