Not Subcontractors, but Partners... Hanwha Ocean Awards "Top Partner" Plaques to Outstanding External Partners

Second Half of 2025 Evaluation on Production, Safety, and Quality
Awards and Meeting Held for Three Top External Partners
"Partner Competitiveness Is Hanwha Ocean's Competitiveness... Advancing Mutually Beneficial Partnerships to Shape the Future of Shipbuilding"

"Creating Together, Moving Forward Together." Hanwha Ocean held an award ceremony to recognize and encourage outstanding external partners.

Hanwha Ocean (CEO Kim Heecheol) continued its efforts to strengthen mutually beneficial partnerships by awarding top-performing external partners.

The company aims to further reinforce its co-growth system with external partners by enhancing their competitiveness.

Based on the evaluation results of external partners for the second half of this year, Hanwha Ocean held an award ceremony and meeting on the 30th for the three top external partners.

In the regular evaluation for the second half of 2025, Giduk Industry achieved excellent results across all evaluation categories, earning the award for a second consecutive year following the 2024 comprehensive evaluation. Shinhan Heavy Industries and Push were recognized for their outstanding on-time delivery and excellence in production and quality, and were selected as the top external partners this time.

To strengthen the competitiveness of its external partners, Hanwha Ocean conducted evaluations in three categories: production, safety, and quality. As a result, the three external partners with the highest scores in each process-such as processing/cutting, block manufacturing, and piping-were selected as the best partners and received plaques and incentives. A certification plaque recognizing them as outstanding external partners was also awarded.

After the award ceremony, Hanwha Ocean also held a luncheon meeting to communicate with the external partners. During this event, Hanwha Ocean listened not only to the difficulties faced by the partners on site but also to their expectations for the company. Through this, Hanwha Ocean and its external partners discussed ways to achieve mutual growth based on a cooperative structure founded on trust.

Hanwha Ocean has long regarded external partners not just as outsourcing vendors but as key players in building competitiveness in the shipbuilding industry, and has been gradually implementing mutually beneficial policies.

In fact, Hanwha Ocean invited representatives and officials from 28 external partners to its headquarters for meetings in May and September this year, listening to their challenges. In July, the company awarded plaques and incentives to three companies selected as the best external partners for 2024.

After signing a "Mutual Growth Cooperation Agreement for the Sustainable Development of the Shipbuilding Industry" with Gyeongnam Province in February this year, Hanwha Ocean has continued to provide free consulting support, including technical advice, to its external partners.

Kim Changyong, Executive Vice President of Manufacturing at Hanwha Ocean, said, "The competitiveness of our partners is directly linked to Hanwha Ocean's competitiveness," and added, "We will continue to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with external partners to drive change in the field and shape the future of the shipbuilding industry together."
