On December 30 at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Baek Seunga, floor spokesperson for the Democratic Party, told reporters, "Coupang has not properly attended the joint hearing, and there are still many unresolved issues. It seems likely that we will conduct a parliamentary investigation together with the People Power Party." Kim Hyunjung, another floor spokesperson for the Democratic Party, added, "We plan to submit the request for a parliamentary investigation into Coupang today."

Spokesperson Kim explained, "Six standing committees are currently holding a joint hearing, but among the People Power Party-led committees-namely, the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, the Strategy and Finance Committee, and the Political Affairs Committee-only Yoon Han-hong, chair of the Political Affairs Committee, has not signed the consent form. As a result, only Assemblyman Kim Namgeun and I have been reassigned from the Political Affairs Committee to the Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee to participate in the hearing."

Kim further stated, "While there is agreement on the parliamentary investigation, it is regrettable that these issues remain. We urge that the investigation be pursued through bipartisan consensus."

From today until December 31, six standing committees are conducting joint hearings on various issues related to Coupang, including the personal information leak, labor conditions, and unfair trade practices. However, Coupang is facing criticism for the absence of its founder and Chairman of Coupang Inc., Kim Beomseok, as well as for the insufficient submission of materials.
