Woomee Construction announced on December 30 that Suyun Kwak has been appointed as the new President and CEO. Former CEO Younghan Bae will step down and serve as an executive advisor.
President Kwak graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in architecture and joined Daelim Industrial (now DL E&C) in 1992, where he served as Head of Management Innovation and Head of Housing and Architecture Business. He joined Woomee Construction as an advisor last year.
President Kwak has set next year's management policy as "establishing a sustainable growth system through the advancement of core competencies" and plans to focus on innovation in work processes based on artificial intelligence and data.
Former CEO Bae joined the company as an advisor in 2017 and has served as CEO since 2020.
Woomee Construction will be operated under a three-person co-CEO system with President Kwak, Younggil Kim, and Sungchul Kim. Founded in 1982, Woomee Construction conducts business across all areas of real estate, including development, construction, management, and investment, and owns the apartment brand "Lynn."
A Woomee Construction official stated, "Through this generational change in leadership, we will research a future-oriented growth model and create a sustainable management environment," adding, "We aim to become a leading, world-class comprehensive real estate company that creates greater spatial value for our customers' dreams and happiness."
