31 Receive Government Awards and Minister of Education Commendations
The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education held a conferment ceremony for retired local government officials on the second floor of the main office's conference hall on December 30.
This ceremony was organized to honor the public service contributions of those retiring at the end of December this year and those who retired honorably at the end of June. Government awards and commendations from the Minister of Education were presented.
A total of 31 people received awards. Among them, 28 were recipients of government awards: 1 Hongjo Geunjeong Medal, 6 Nokjo Geunjeong Medals, 10 Okjo Geunjeong Medals, 7 Geunjeong Medals, 1 Presidential Commendation, and 3 Prime Minister’s Commendations. In addition, 3 people received commendations from the Minister of Education.
Deputy Superintendent Oh Seong-bae said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to all public officials who have devoted themselves to the development of education in Gangwon with a strong sense of duty and public service during their tenure."
