Intelligent Vulnerability Analysis and Automated Asset Management
"Leading AI Security in the Public Sector"
Korea Housing Finance Corporation is set to enhance its information security management system using artificial intelligence to respond to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
On December 30, Korea Housing Finance Corporation announced that it will establish an "AI-based integrated information security portal" to elevate its information protection management system. The core of this initiative is to consolidate previously dispersed information security work into a single platform, thereby strengthening both the speed and efficiency of security responses.
The newly developed integrated information security portal will feature real-time detection and automatic classification of key information assets, such as servers and network equipment. This will enable continuous monitoring of information assets and is expected to minimize management blind spots.
Additionally, the portal will include an intelligent vulnerability analysis function that evaluates risk by analyzing correlations with Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) information after inspecting IT system vulnerabilities. CVE is an international standard system managed in the "CVE-year-number" format, used to assess the severity of security threats and determine response priorities.
Furthermore, the portal will systematize and computerize security work processes to ensure compliance with information security-related laws and internal regulations. The corporation expects this to enable consistent standards in conducting security inspections, management, reporting, and other related work across the board.
The corporation anticipates that once the integrated information security portal is completed, the management of information assets and security vulnerability checks will be automated, and all security-related work will be managed on a single platform, thereby improving both work efficiency and the level of security.
Kim Kyunghwan, President of Korea Housing Finance Corporation, stated, "In an environment where cyber threats are becoming increasingly severe, establishing a robust information security system is not a choice but a necessity. Through the development of this AI-based integrated information security portal, we will protect our customers' valuable information even more securely and take a leading role in the public sector's AI information security field."
