Since its establishment in 2021, the Department of Occupational Therapy at Kyungnam University has operated an educational curriculum and systematic clinical training that meet the standards of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). Leveraging educational infrastructure equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and practical training environments, the department has focused on field-oriented education to foster occupational therapists with strong practical skills.

Additionally, in 2024, the department received approval from the Ministry of Education to increase its admission quota by 20 students, now recruiting a total of 40 students. Starting in 2025, the department plans to further strengthen its educational and research capabilities by newly establishing a master’s program in the general graduate school.

Shin Jungil, Head of the Department of Occupational Therapy, stated, “We have worked hard to help our students grow into occupational therapists who possess both professionalism and character by providing systematic preparation for the national exam and operating a high-quality curriculum.” He added, “We will continue to do our utmost to nurture outstanding talent who can make meaningful contributions to the local community and the healthcare field.”
