On December 29, Netflix announced that it will exclusively broadcast all matches of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the world’s largest professional wrestling organization, live starting January 1, 2026.
The service will cover WWE’s core weekly programs, including "Raw," "SmackDown," and "NXT." In addition, major Premium Live Events (PLE) such as "WrestleMania," "Royal Rumble," "SummerSlam," and "Money in the Bank" will also be streamed live in Korea.
Netflix members will be able to watch live matches without any additional charges. Netflix will also provide video-on-demand (VOD) services, and exclusive Netflix content utilizing the WWE archive will be released sequentially.
Through this partnership, Netflix aims to target both the middle-aged Korean fans who have followed WWE since the AFKN (now AFN Korea) era, as well as younger audiences who prefer high-intensity action.
