The Department of Health Care Administration at Youngjin College (President Choi Jaeyoung) has established itself as a leading program for cultivating professionals in the advanced healthcare industry, achieving both an 81.8% pass rate for the national Health Information Manager certification exam and an 85% employment rate.
Earlier this month, the Department of Health Care Administration recorded an 81.8% pass rate in the “2026 National Health Information Manager Examination,” which was administered by the Korea Health Personnel Licensing Examination Institute and announced on December 27.

This figure marks a significant increase from the previous year’s pass rate, which was in the 60% range, and far exceeds last year’s national average pass rate of 57.3%.
Launched as a two-year program in 2021, the Department of Health Care Administration transitioned to a three-year system in 2022 to enhance its field-oriented education framework and has since focused on strengthening health information management competencies. As a result, the department has rapidly built a strong foundation for nurturing professionals, showing remarkable growth in a short period.
To prepare students for the national exam, the department offered intensive special lectures throughout the second semester this year, and systematically supported students’ independent development of major competencies and exam preparation through the extracurricular Youngjin Autonomous Advancement Program (YAP). This tailored learning support is credited with contributing to the high pass rate.
Additionally, the Department of Health Care Administration received a five-year accreditation in the Health Information Management Education Evaluation, officially recognizing the systematic structure and quality of its curriculum.
The department’s focus on practical competency-based education, its educational performance management system, and its major competency-based curriculum all received high marks, further enhancing the credibility of its student education.
Lee Youngok, head of the Department of Health Care Administration, stated, “As a newly established department, we have concentrated our efforts on nurturing talent that meets the industry demands in health care administration and medical information. As a result, we achieved an 85% employment rate in 2023 (according to Ministry of Education public data) and an 85% employment rate in 2025 (based on internal data), demonstrating Youngjin College’s reputation for employment excellence at the departmental level.” She added, “The core of our department’s competitiveness lies in strengthening field-oriented education by signing customized, demand-based education agreements with more than 60 healthcare institutions in the region.”
Moving forward, the Department of Health Care Administration at Youngjin College plans to continuously strengthen health information management competencies through a performance-based curriculum and expand field-linked education to consistently produce practice-oriented professionals who will lead the advanced healthcare industry.
