An incident occurred in which a TV subtitle reading "Warning Cancellation Test Order" was incorrectly broadcast due to a system error at the Central Civil Defense Warning Control Center.

On the 28th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced, "While conducting the daily system inspection (six times a day) at the Central Civil Defense Warning Control Center, a system error caused the civil defense warning cancellation subtitle to be broadcast on TV," adding, "We apologize for the confusion this has caused."

At 5:59 p.m. that day, subtitles such as "Warning Cancellation Test Order" and "Return to Normal Work," which were completely unrelated to the actual situation, were broadcast nationwide on terrestrial TV. It is reported that these subtitles appeared on TV screens for up to about four minutes.

These subtitles are managed by a system operated by the Central Civil Defense Warning Control Center, and in crisis situations such as typhoons, broadcasters are required to air the subtitles when they are sent out.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety stated, "We will promptly analyze and address this program error, and at the same time, conduct a comprehensive and detailed inspection of the civil defense warning system to strengthen the system management framework."
