Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province achieved a satisfaction score of 97 points in the “2025 Customized Basic and Advanced Arts and Physical Education Program for the Educational Development Special Zone,” which was conducted from September to December 2025. This educational program, which began with a spectacular one-point badminton lesson taught by a former national team athlete in September, featured volleyball player Han Songi and musical instructor Park Junseo, who helped students improve their practical skills and sparked their interest in each field.

The volleyball classes offered a curriculum covering everything from basic skill correction and close technical guidance to practical game management know-how, while the musical classes provided opportunities to learn about various professions involved in musical production-including acting, planning, management, and promotion-and to experience a live musical performance firsthand.

Students who participated in the classes remarked, “Receiving guidance from a former national team athlete allowed me to feel my own growth, and I appreciated being able to take advanced lessons based on what I had learned in regular classes,” and “Listening to musical songs live was even more moving. As someone studying composition, it made me reconsider the different roles a composer can play in a musical.” Throughout the program, students remained focused and engaged without losing interest.

A Gimpo City official stated, “Thanks to the passion of the students who actively participated, the program was able to conclude successfully,” and added, “We will continue to provide customized support in various fields to help children with their career choices and personal development.”
