Daegu Urban Development Corporation (President: Jeong Myungseop) held a distribution event for the “Sharing Warmth in Winter” support supplies on December 23, targeting the oldest residents living in permanent rental housing to help them prepare for the severe cold of winter. The event was organized to ensure the stability of residents’ daily lives and to protect their health before the coldest period of the season.
The recipients included 313 households (77 households in Jisan 5th Complex and 236 households in Sangin Bidulgi Apartments) with residents aged 85 or older, living in Jisan 5th Complex and Sangin Bidulgi Apartments. Winter supplies, beef bone soup sets, and misutgaru (a traditional Korean grain powder drink), among other items helpful for winter living, were delivered.

These households were selected in consideration of their high vulnerability to heating issues during winter and the relatively greater health risks posed by cold waves. The corporation expects that this support will help prevent health deterioration and safety accidents caused by the winter cold in advance.
The event was carried out in cooperation with the Daegu Volunteer Center, with volunteers and corporation employees participating on site to distribute supplies and listen to residents’ concerns, providing emotional support as well.
President Jeong Myungseop stated, “We will continue to provide attentive, field-oriented support to ensure the stability and health of the oldest residents who are vulnerable to the cold.”
