The main points of the agreement include collaboration for discovering AI-based innovation projects, joint efforts to secure global AI leadership, inter-agency cooperation to enhance reliability in areas such as AI ethics and safety, cooperation in gathering information on domestic and international AI technology and market trends, as well as exchanges of relevant personnel.

Through this agreement, the Korea Student Aid Foundation is expected to enhance work efficiency by applying AI technology to nationwide student aid services such as national scholarships and student loans, and to establish a more fair and accurate data-driven decision-making system.

Based on its expertise in leading AI policy and technology in the public sector, NIA plans to support the foundation's AI transformation and create a representative best practice for public AI utilization in the field of educational welfare.

Hwang Jongsung, Director of NIA, emphasized, "This collaboration is significant as it marks not just the adoption of AI technology, but the starting point for the practical application of AI across the entire field of educational welfare administration," adding, "Going forward, NIA will work closely with the foundation to realize a public AI service model that students and the public can use with confidence."
