Various Events to Encourage Participation
Benefits Include App Points and Mobile Coffee Coupons
“OrGO Hamyang,” a certification program for completing all 15 famous mountains in Hamyang County, Gyeongnam, is launching a variety of participation events for users to celebrate the New Year.
First, to further boost the popularity and enthusiasm for participation in “OrGO Hamyang” in the New Year, a “Spread the Word Event” will be held until January 30, 2026.
Anyone who newly registers on the “OrGO Hamyang” app and enters their information along with a referrer via the link announced in the app will be eligible for a drawing to win a mobile coffee coupon. In particular, participants who refer 10 or more new users will be selected as “Pro Promoters” and will receive an additional 10,000 app points.
Additionally, there will be an event through the official Hamyang tourism Instagram account. After newly registering on the “OrGO Hamyang” app, users can leave a comment stating “Registration Complete” on the event post to be automatically entered into the event.
The second event is for those attempting to complete all the mountains. From January 1 to January 17, five participants from each mountain and 20 new participants who complete the certification will be selected by drawing to receive 10,000 app points.
Lastly, a congratulatory video event will be held to celebrate the first anniversary of “OrGO Hamyang.” Participants who submit a congratulatory video of up to 15 seconds to the designated phone number or email by December 31 will receive 10,000 app points.
An official from Hamyang County stated, “We hope that these various events prepared for the New Year will help promote ‘OrGO Hamyang’ more widely and provide more people with the opportunity to participate,” adding, “We look forward to the active participation of mountain enthusiasts nationwide in the challenge to complete all 15 famous mountains in 2026.”
Meanwhile, “OrGO Hamyang” is a tourism content program that encourages local spending by allowing participants to convert points earned for completing mountains over 1,000 meters above sea level in Hamyang County into Hamyang Love Gift Certificates. By requiring participants to verify their visit at the start and end points of hiking trails, the program naturally attracts visitors to Hamyang and is recognized for contributing to the expansion of the resident population and revitalization of the local economy.
