Lee Jongbae, a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Council from the People Power Party (proportional representative), announced on the 28th that he had submitted a complaint to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, accusing President Lee of violating the Public Official Election Act.

Councilman Lee argued, "In an approval rating survey conducted just one week after President Lee praised Mayor Jung, Mayor Jung ranked first in a head-to-head match-up, and his approval rating surged. Promoting him as being good at his job is a clear violation of Article 86 of the Public Official Election Act."

On the 8th, President Lee posted a message on SNS stating, "It seems Mayor Jung Won-oh is indeed doing a good job."
