"I Paid More Attention Because He Said He Lived with His Grandmother"... 'Part-Timer's Betrayal' Caught on CCTV A man in his 20s stealing cash from a store where he worked part-time. JTBC Incident Commander

On December 28, JTBC's "Incident Commander" reported that the owner of a Chinese restaurant, identified as Mr. A, was robbed by a male part-time worker in his 20s, Mr. B, who had worked at the store for six months.

According to Mr. A, Mr. B quit his job on December 14, claiming he was unwell. However, in the early morning of December 16, Mr. B secretly broke into the store and stole about 2 million won in cash from the counter before fleeing. Video footage shows Mr. B approaching the counter while bending down, then carefully opening a drawer, taking 50,000-won bills, putting them in his pocket, and disappearing. It is believed that he committed the crime at an early hour, taking advantage of the fact that only someone was present in the kitchen.

On December 18, Mr. A discovered Mr. B's theft through closed-circuit television (CCTV) and immediately reported it to the police, but Mr. B was not caught. Then, on December 24, Mr. B broke into the store again and stole 3.2 million won from the counter before fleeing. In total, approximately 5 million won in cash was stolen in the two thefts.

Mr. A told Incident Commander, "I paid special attention to Mr. B, who said he lived with his grandmother," and added, "It hurts even more to be betrayed by an employee I trusted."
