Delivering 440kg of Rice to Help Neighbors
Continuing to Share Love Through Home Repair Volunteering for Elderly Living Alone

On December 27, Sanho-dong in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province, announced that Moonchang Church had carried out a rice donation event to help neighbors and a home repair volunteer activity for elderly people living alone.

First, the donation of "Love Rice" was part of Moonchang Church's year-end project to share warmth with marginalized groups. A total of 440 kilograms of rice, gathered through the voluntary contributions of church members, was delivered to Sanho-dong.

In addition, for households of elderly people living alone in poor housing conditions, members of the Moonchang Church Oikos Volunteer Group and City Councilor Seo Youngkwon participated in wallpapering, replacing doors, and cleaning the interiors of homes to help create a more comfortable living environment.

Pastor Park Jingyu stated, "During the year-end and New Year season, there seem to be even more marginalized families around us who need our attention due to the cold weather. I hope today's small but meaningful rice donation by our congregation and the home repair volunteer work for elderly people living alone will serve as a small beacon of hope for them."

The 440 kilograms of "Love Rice" donated by Moonchang Church will be delivered to families in need, such as grandparent-grandchild households, single-parent families, and elderly people living alone, helping them enjoy a warmer year-end season.

Meanwhile, Moonchang Church has been continuously carrying out various sharing culture projects to support marginalized groups in the community. In particular, the church has established the Oikos Volunteer Group, which participates in a wide range of talent donation activities, including home repair volunteering, briquette delivery, environmental clean-up, and scholarship awards.
