On December 28, LG Display announced that it will unveil a wide array of products featuring its most advanced technologies at 'CES 2026,' the world’s largest information technology and home appliance exhibition, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA, on January 6 (local time) next month.

These products are expected to set new records for gaming OLED panels, with the world’s highest refresh rate and response speed, the world’s first 39-inch 5K2K panel, and the world’s first 240Hz RGB stripe pixel structure, among other innovations.
The 27-inch gaming OLED panel to be showcased by LG Display delivers the fastest refresh rate of 720Hz. The refresh rate refers to the number of times the screen refreshes per second. A 720Hz refresh rate means the screen updates 720 times per second. LG Display is the first to achieve this ultra-high refresh rate of 720Hz with an OLED panel.
In addition, the panel achieves a response speed of up to 0.02 milliseconds, which is more than 150 times faster than the average response speed of LCD panels. With both outstanding refresh rate and response speed, there is no afterimage from previous frames or blurring of boundaries.
The world’s first 39-inch 5K2K gaming OLED panel will also be unveiled. The 39-inch OLED panel, which LG Display is the only company in the world to mass-produce, offers ultra-high definition that surpasses UHD, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 1500R curved design for optimal immersion, making it ideal for professionals such as video directors.
The world’s first 240Hz RGB stripe pixel structure OLED panel will also be on display. This product not only delivers excellent gaming performance with a high refresh rate of 240Hz, but also achieves 160 pixels per inch, enabling detailed and vivid graphics. Furthermore, thanks to a pixel structure optimized for popular computer operating systems, it provides perfect clarity for both text and colors.
LG Display has also announced plans to apply its new large-size OLED technology, 'Primary RGB Tandem 2.0,' to all gaming OLED panels to be released next year.
Last year, LG Display introduced the world’s first 'Primary RGB Tandem' technology, which stacks the three primary colors of light (red, green, and blue) in separate layers. The newly unveiled 'Primary RGB Tandem 2.0' features an even more optimized component. As a result, LG Display’s gaming OLED panels can now achieve a maximum brightness of 1,500 nits, deliver perfect blacks supporting HDR True Black 500, and realize a maximum DCI color gamut of 99.5%.
Lee Hyunwoo, Head of Large Display Business at LG Display, stated, "We are strengthening the unique advantages of LG Display OLEDs and enhancing our competitiveness in the global market with perfect displays that offer the refresh rate, resolution, and response speed every gamer dreams of. In line with the growing demand for OLED monitors, we plan to aggressively target the OLED monitor market from 2026 onward by leveraging our world-leading and world-first technologies."
