Visits to Integrated Network Control Room and New Base Station Sites
Inspection of Traffic Response and Safety Protocol Compliance
SK Telecom announced on the 28th that CEO Jaeheon Jung visited network sites one after another as communication traffic increases during the year-end and New Year period.
According to SK Telecom, from December 24 to 26, CEO Jung visited the network integrated control room at the Bundang office building in Seongnam, a newly established base station site in Goyang, and an optical cable connection work site in Dongdaemun District, Seoul. At these sites, he checked the readiness to handle communication traffic, as well as compliance with security and safety (SHE) protocols.

This series of site visits focused on “basics and principles.” CEO Jung personally went up to the base station installation site to identify potential hazards and inspected both the safety manual and equipment.
In addition, at the integrated control room, he reviewed the emergency response system in preparation for a surge in traffic and requested that stable service be maintained throughout the year-end and New Year period. He also expressed his gratitude to team members who remained on duty during the consecutive holidays and listened to their concerns.
He emphasized, “Even in the era of artificial intelligence (AI), solid fundamentals and a stable communication network are essential,” adding, “Upholding principles in quality, security, and safety is the starting point for customer trust.”
