Seongdong District in Seoul (Mayor Jung Wono) will hold the "2026 Eungbongsan Sunrise Festival" at the Eungbongsan Palgakjeong Pavilion on January 1 next year, in celebration of the Year of the Red Horse. Eungbongsan is known as a popular sunrise spot in the heart of Seoul, offering spectacular sunrise views against the backdrop of the Han River and Seoul Forest.

The festival will take place from 7 a.m. on a special stage at the Palgakjeong Pavilion. Programs include a popera performance, exchanging New Year’s greetings, drumming, and writing wish notes.
An LED screen will be installed to allow participants to enjoy the sunrise scene vividly, and the wish note program will provide an opportunity for attendees to share well-wishes and reflect on the meaning of the New Year together.
