On December 26, Joo Jinwoo, a member of the People Power Party, pointed out the allegations of 'Daddy Chance' involving Floor Leader Kim and his eldest son through Facebook, criticizing, "Cho Kuk would be proud to call him brother." This remark is interpreted as likening the situation to the college admissions corruption case involving Cho Kuk, leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, and his children.

In his post, Assemblyman Joo stated, "When Kim Byung-ki was a secretary of the National Assembly Intelligence Committee, his son was recruited by the NIS through a career hire. Kim Byung-ki's spouse even called the NIS Director of Planning and Coordination directly to ask for their son to be hired," thereby reigniting the controversy in line with media reports. He further added, "Kim Byung-ki instructed his aides to handle his son's NIS duties on his behalf. Is NIS work some sort of elementary school homework? Why should someone else do it for him?"

Assemblyman Joo also shared a news link reporting on the circumstances in which Kim Byung-ki's eldest son delegated NIS intelligence-related work to aides in the parliamentary office.

According to the report, on August 22 last year, Floor Leader Kim called his aides and requested, "Please help my son." Subsequently, the eldest son sent a text message to the aides with a specific inquiry: "Please check whether the President-elect of Indonesia will visit Hanwha Life Insurance and Hanwha Ocean." The inquiry included details such as the visit schedule, briefing and inspection programs, and items to be presented to the companies, all in the format of a work report.

The aides contacted Hanwha Group to verify the facts, but the group responded, "There are no such plans." In reality, the President-elect of Indonesia did not visit Korea.
