KB Financial Group and KB Kookmin Bank announced on December 23 that they each held a board meeting at the new headquarters building in Yeouido, Seoul, and carried out an organizational restructuring.
KB Financial Group, in an effort to strengthen information security, moved the existing Information Security Department under the Compliance Officer and newly established a Cyber Security Center within the information security organization. Similarly, KB Kookmin Bank created a Financial Fraud Prevention Unit under the Consumer Protection Group for the same purpose.
KB Financial Group also established the CIB (Corporate & Investment Banking) Market Division to lead productive finance. KB Kookmin Bank introduced the Growth Finance Promotion Headquarters as an organization to support productive finance.
The group also created the Future Strategy Division, which will oversee both the Strategy Office, responsible for the group's management strategy, and the AI & Digital Transformation (DT) Promotion Headquarters, in charge of digital innovation. Additionally, the Wealth Management (WM) & SME Division was established to provide integrated solutions for individual and small and medium-sized enterprise clients.
