Collaboration with Local Entrepreneurs such as Nongsa Fund and Chuncheon Ilgi
Building an AI-Based Local Branding Model
Second Phase of the Advanced Program in Progress
Hallym University (President Choi Yanghee) Startup Support Center, as part of the Gangwon RISE project, jointly held the "AI Utilization Local Branding Camp" with Root Impact (CEO Heo Jaehyung) on December 23.
This camp was the second program following the previous "Startup Ideation with AI" and was designed to rediscover the value of the local community and establish concrete branding models using AI technology.
During the camp, a new collaborative model was introduced involving Hallym University students, the local agricultural product distribution social venture "Nongsa Fund," and the regional content local store "Chuncheon Ilgi." Participating students used AI tools in combination with the practical skills of local entrepreneurs to directly develop premium prototype concepts utilizing local agricultural products and processed goods.
Hallym University and Root Impact plan to measure psychological factors such as changes in students' AI utilization capabilities and problem-solving experiences through this program, analyze the results, and propose follow-up dissemination strategies. In particular, the outcomes produced during this camp are expected to lead to the actual production of prototypes through future collaboration with local artists and producers.
Kim Yonggeun, Head Professor of Startup Business at Hallym University, stated, "Through AI, we were able to create a model in which local universities and local entrepreneurs can coexist," adding, "It became an opportunity for students to experience the importance of local branding by applying AI technology to practical work."
Meanwhile, this program was conducted as part of the "AI Career School" operated by Root Impact, a non-profit corporation, with support from Google.org. Through this collaboration, Root Impact plans to strengthen local university students' AI utilization capabilities and support the establishment of a local sustainability model based on local branding.
