Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation Ends KakaoT Wide-Area Call Bus Service
Service Transition to 'Ddokta' App Begins January 1 Next Year
Reservations Open Sequentially by Route Starting December 23

On December 26, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation announced that starting January 1, 2026, it will provide wide-area call bus services through the Gyeonggi-do integrated transportation platform 'Ddokta' app. This change comes as the service via the KakaoT platform will end on December 31, 2025.

With this transition, there will be no changes to the vehicle composition or operating routes. However, the reservation and payment process for users will shift to the Ddokta app.

The Ddokta app is an integrated platform that offers access to various transportation modes such as Ddokbus, taxis, and personal mobility devices (PM), as well as real-time public transit information. With this update, a dedicated menu for the wide-area call bus will be newly established.

Through this menu, users will be able to make advance reservations for routes operating from January 1, 2026. Route reservations are being opened sequentially by region from December 23 to December 26. Reservations can be made for dates within 31 days, and each person can use the service up to 10 times.

The wide-area call bus will continue to operate the same routes as before, connecting five cities-Yongin, Gwangju, Suwon, Hwaseong, and Siheung-to Seoul (Yangjae Station and Sadang Station). The Siheung route operates on both weekdays and weekends/public holidays, while the other routes operate only on weekdays.

First-time users of the wide-area call bus via the Ddokta app will need to sign up as members, and existing KakaoT usage information will not be linked.

The fare structure remains the same as the current Gyeonggi-do direct seat bus fares: 3,200 won for adults, 2,300 won for teenagers, and 1,600 won for children. The metropolitan area integrated transfer discount also applies.

Yang Wooseok, Acting President of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, stated, "This platform transition for the wide-area call bus is a measure to ensure stable wide-area transportation services for residents even after the end of the existing private platform's service. Going forward, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation will continue to expand integrated transportation services centered on the Ddokta app."
