Hanseul Kim and Kyunghui Lee of Guri City Council Receive Excellence Awards from Gyeonggi Province City and County Council Chairpersons Association

On December 24, Hanseul Kim and Kyunghui Lee, members of the Guri City Council in Gyeonggi Province, each received awards in the 'Regional Economic Revitalization' and 'Legislative Research Development' categories at the '2025 Gyeonggi Province City and County Council Legislative Activity Excellence Awards Ceremony' hosted by the Gyeonggi Province City and County Council Chairpersons Association, held at the Dongducheon City Citizens' Hall.

Guri City Council members Hanseul Kim and Kyunghui Lee received awards at the "2025 Gyeonggi Province City and County Council Legislative Activities Outstanding Member Award Ceremony" held on the 24th at the Dongducheon City Citizens' Hall, hosted by the Gyeonggi Province City and County Council Chairs Association. Hanseul Kim was awarded in the "Local Economic Revitalization" category, and Kyunghui Lee in the "Legislative Research and Development" category. Provided by Guri City Council

This awards ceremony, which was held for basic council members in Gyeonggi Province, aims to reward council members who have contributed to regional development through dedicated legislative activities, thereby contributing to the advancement of local autonomy and the creation of a trustworthy society. Awards were presented in 11 categories: resident participation and communication, resolution of local issues, legislative activities, fulfillment of pledges, regional economic revitalization, administrative improvement, improvement of legislative activities, administrative audits, budget savings, legislative research development, and legislative service.

Hanseul Kim and Kyunghui Lee were recognized for their contributions to the development of the local community through efficient budget review activities, proactive legislative efforts within the council, policy proposals to improve the quality of life for Guri citizens, and volunteer activities, which led to their receiving these awards.

Hanseul Kim stated, "I am delighted and grateful to receive the award in the legislative activity category at this ceremony. As Guri City is currently undergoing many changes, there are inevitably some citizens who are adversely affected. I will continue to do my best to minimize unintentional harm to well-intentioned citizens through policy and institutional improvements, and to revitalize the local economy."

Kyunghui Lee said, "I am thankful to receive such a valuable award at the Legislative Activity Excellence Awards Ceremony. I will continue to do my utmost as a city council member to enhance my expertise through policy research, case analysis, and various other means, so that I can deliver policies that Guri citizens can truly feel and benefit from."
