Eat, Apply, and Share... Three Cheongsong Apple Processed Products, from Table to Vanity

What if you could apply the nutrition of a single apple to your skin? This breaks the fixed idea that "apples are only for eating."

The Cheongsong-gun Agricultural Technology Center in North Gyeongsang Province has officially launched three processed products-'Cheongsong Apple Gim,' 'Apple Bliss,' and 'Because You're Pretty, Apologize'-developed to enhance the added value of Cheongsong apples and revitalize the local agricultural processing industry.

These products were completed through a systematic process based on technologies researched and developed by the Cheongsong-gun Agricultural Technology Center, including patent applications, technology transfers, and prototype evaluations. In particular, differentiated processing techniques using Cheongsong green apples have increased the products' competitiveness.

In December 2025, the Cheongsong-gun Agricultural Technology Center selected Sonobel Cheongsong, Haetteuneun Farm, and Kkachifamily as distributors through a seller recruitment announcement. Sonobel Cheongsong will sell the products through Good&Goods Mart, while Haetteuneun Farm plans to sell them both offline to tourists and online through platforms such as Saisomall. Kkachifamily will promote and sell the products via YouTube and Naver Store.

'Cheongsong Apple Gim' is a product that applies the patented technology of 'green apple salt and its manufacturing method.' It is made using green apple salt produced through a technology transfer agreement with Korea Maekkuroom in June 2025. The product is characterized by the refreshing flavor and savory taste unique to apples, and is priced at 20,000 won per box (12 packs).

'Apple Bliss' is developed based on the patent for 'green apple vinegar granules and their uses' and was produced by the Gyeongbuk Institute for Bioindustry. This granule-type vinegar product is made by fermenting Cheongsong apples, freeze-drying them, and coating them with collagen and probiotics, making it easy to consume. The price is 30,000 won per box (60 sachets).

'Because You're Pretty, Apologize' is a mask pack containing Cheongsong apple extract, featuring a refreshing apple scent and helping to improve skin texture, reduce wrinkles, and revitalize the skin. It is priced at 15,000 won and is currently available at Hanaro Mart in Cheongsong-eup and Jinbo-myeon, Hanwoo Plaza, Songwon APC, and Pretty.

An official from the county said, "By diversifying Cheongsong apple processed products and expanding sales channels, we aim to increase the added value of local agricultural products and ensure that more consumers can directly experience the excellence of Cheongsong apples and the charm of the region. We will continue to make such efforts."
