RS Automation announced on December 26 that it is emerging as a key leading company in the robot parts ecosystem within the MAX (Manufacturing AI Transformation) Alliance, a government-led strategy for a major AI transformation in the manufacturing sector.
As a co-chair company of the Robot Parts Council within the MAX Alliance, RS Automation, together with SBB Tech, a leading company in the precision reducer sector, plays a pivotal role in enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic robot parts industry and driving AI-based manufacturing innovation.
The MAX Alliance is a government-led cross-industry cooperative body. Its goal is to dramatically improve productivity, quality, and flexibility by integrating AI throughout manufacturing. In particular, robots are considered a core implementation tool for the AI transformation of manufacturing. As a result, the advancement of robot parts technology and the development of the ecosystem have emerged as important tasks.
RS Automation possesses proprietary technology for core components and platforms that drive robots, including servo drives, motion controllers, ultra-precision encoders, and multi-axis control and tuning software. Combined with SBB Tech's high-precision reducer technology, the two companies are recognized as a pillar representing the integrated competitiveness of domestic robot parts, covering the "brain, nerves, and joints" of robots.
As co-chair companies, they are leading initiatives such as the standardization of robot parts, advancement of AI-based robot performance, connecting domestic and international client companies, and establishing collaborative models with small and medium-sized parts manufacturers. They plan to promote the systematic growth of the Korean robot parts ecosystem.
